This 5-day luxury safari packs the highlights of northern Tanzania into a short, comfortable itinerary. Starting in Arusha, you travel to Tarangire National Park, famous for its baobab trees, seasonal marshes and large elephant herds, and enjoy a game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park.
The next day you cross the Ngorongoro highlands and enter the Serengeti, where a full day of game drives gives you the chance to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and, depending on the season, the Great Migration. On day four you leave the plains for the Ngorongoro Crater, home to more than 25,000 animals, before continuing to the highlands of Karatu.
You stay at Marera Valley Lodge, Sound of Silence Tented Camp and Farm of Dreams Lodge, with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Guests who wish to extend the holiday can add a Zanzibar beach stay at the end of the safari.
