Tour Overview

This 8-day safari follows the wildlife north and is timed to catch the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Northern Serengeti, where the herds may cross the Mara River between June and September, depending on the season. After a city tour in Arusha, you visit Tarangire National Park for elephants and baobab trees, then Lake Manyara National Park, with a guided village walk through Mto wa Mbu to meet local farmers and craftspeople.

Two nights are spent in the Northern Serengeti, with a full day of game viewing among wildebeest, zebras, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos and crocodiles. You then travel south to the Seronera region, famous for its resident lion prides and leopards, before ending with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater.

The itinerary mixes outstanding wildlife with authentic Maasai and local culture, giving you the chance to search for the Big Five throughout the safari, from Tarangire to the Ngorongoro Crater.
